Join journalist and essayist Meg Bernhard for a hands-on workshop on how to break beyond conventional writing approaches and craft engaging narratives using sensory experiences. She is the 2024 recipient of the library's Spurrier-Winiarski Wine Writer-in-Residence Award. 

 

Workshop participants will practice documenting the senses, analyze examples of sense-driven writing, and discuss the practical applications of such writing, from narrative journalism to wine label copy and more. Includes substantial time for active discussion and Q&A, including practical guidance on crafting one’s professional identity and how good writing will impact future career growth in the fields of wine, journalism, marketing, and beyond.
